Jordan Washington, a junior at Serra High in Gardena, prevailed in her 200-meter qualifying heat in a wind-aided 23.94 seconds and helped the Cavaliers win their preliminary race in the 4x100-meter relay in 46.36 seconds at the CIF State Championships at Buchanan High's Veterans Memorial Stadium. Washington also advanced to the final in the 100-meter dash by placing second in her heat in a wind-legal 11.75 seconds.
